Warhammer 40k 

Escalation Battles Tournament.

It will run from January to June.  Kessel Run games (http://www.kesselrungames.ca) will be a sponsor.

Starting game is 500pts.  Subsequent  games go up by 250 points up to 2000 points total.

One battle per month. If you do not play a battle in the month, you will be charged 1 VP per level missed.  Ie 1 VP for a 500 point battle, up to -6VP if you miss the last one.  This will make sure those who play all the games will have the change to be the victor. 

If you will be unable to play a game during the month, let us know so we can help schedule a follow up battle the next month so you do not lose any VPs.

  1. It’s CAD. (No formations, no allied detachments and no unbound lists).
  2. ALL lists MUST be submitted before battle so they can be uploaded to the Out Of The Basement Only The Strong page to be viewed.
  3. Every time the points go up, you can refund up to 15% of your total points to make changes.   If you make changes you have to track what changes have been made.
  4. Flyers are allowed, but will follow the rules from 7th, not the flyer rulebook that recently came out.
  5. No Lords of War.

 

One game per month (so the whole thing doesn’t last years…)

Victory points per game will be tracked.  The overall final winner is the one with the most VPs.

Game styles:

500 – Purge the Alien. VP=  Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker, 1 VP for each enemy unit destroyed.

750 – The Emperor’s Will.   VP = Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker,  There are only 2 objectives on the table, each worth 3 points.

1000 – Contact Lost VP= Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker,  Tactical Objective cards.

1250 – Purge the Alien.  VP=  Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker, 1 VP for each enemy unit destroyed.

1500 -Tactical Escalation VP=  Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker. Tactical Objective cards.

1750 – Cloak and Shadows VP =  Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker. Tactical Objective cards.

2000 – Purge the Alien.  VP=  Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker, 1 VP for each enemy unit destroyed.
